About MHS
The Malaysian Hydrological Society (MHS) formed in 2001 promotes an interest in hydrology and water resources. Its main objectives :
» to promote education and training
» to promote scientific research and study of hydrology
» to collaborate with other scientific organizations who have similar objectives at national and international level including the advancement in the hydrologicdiscipline
» to disseminate information through the publication of newsletters , journals and other appropriate mean
» to host, organise and participate in meetings, conferences etc. for the interchange of research findings, information and experiences
Activities of MHS
The activities of the Society shall include, but not be limited to :
» Supporting and participating in research and study projects of hydrology and other related matters
» Organising periodic meetings, conferences, workshop and other appropriate activities in hydrology
» Participating in meetings, conterences and such activities relating to hydrology
» Collaborating with institutions, organisations, agencies or individuals on matters pertaining to hydrology and of common interests through the exchange of technical information
» Disseminating information of interest to members of the Society and the public
» Publication of periodic journals and newsletters and other appropriate means with the prior approval of the authority cocerned
» Exchanging and inviting experts for the further advancement of hydologic discipline
» Promoting education and training in the field of hydrology and other relevant fields in promoting awareness
